James C. Sherwood, 75, of New Castle, passed away at his residence the evening of Dec. 29, 2012.Born Dec. 16, 1937 in Philadelphia, he was the son of Fredrick and Helen Neiper Sherwood.He married the former Eleanor Ream on Feb. 16, 1957.James served in the U. S. Air Force and was an Airman 2nd Class.He was employed as a supervisor at Micro Com.In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Joni Sherwood of New Castle; and two sons, Donald Sherwood of New Castle and Robert Sherwood of Levittown, PA.James was preceded in death by his parents.At his request, there will be no visitation or service.Arrangements are by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
