Jane E. Ward, 72, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of August 7, 2017 at her residence. Born in Grove City on April 17, 1945, she was a daughter of George E. and Amy E. Wright Macom. A graduate of Union High School, she attended both Westminster and BC3. She retired in 2011 as a plant manager from Berner International after 38 years. After retirement she was employed by Christopher & Banks, Grove City Outlets as an assistant manager. She was of the Lutheran faith. Survivors include her husband, Thomas, of 51 years; two sons, Timothy Ward of New Castle and Todd (Kimberly) Ward of Hopewell, PA; brother, George P. Macom of WV; granddaughter, Emma Ann Ward-Fair; her extended and beloved family, John and Kiley Fair and their children, Jack, Abby, Sophie and Jakob; and Jordan and Olivia Pishioneri. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Thomas J. Macom. In keeping with Jane's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Simon and staff and also to the Allegheny Health Network Hospice.
