Janet Williams, 71, of Kannapolis, NC and formerly of New Castle, PA died Monday, September 2, 2013, at Carolinas Medical Center Northeast. A New Castle native, Janet was born May 29, 1942, a daughter of the late Clarence Jones and Freda Sager. She was a devoted housewife and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family, her whole world revolved around her family. Mrs. Williams was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. ""Dick"" Williams, Sr.; sister, Cora Joseph; brothers, Walter and Robert Reno and her great grandson, Bryce. Survivors include her sons, Jeff Williams and wife, Kim of New Castle and Richard G. Williams, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Pam Bloise of Kannapolis, NC; sisters, Darlene Duncan, Doris Fray, Joann Jones, Susan Dickey, Patricia Floyd, Shirley Hodge and Betty Nowak; brothers, Melvin Reno and Billy Jones; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jenna Williams, Richard Williams III and wife Kami, Allison and Janet Williams and Morgan DeVitto and Brittany Gaskey and husband, Chad. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Ricky, Cassidy, Monroe, Aaliyah, Alysia, Bryson and Marissa. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home with a service to follow. Interment will be private.
