Jean M. Anderson, age 86, of Edinburg, passed away the morning of December 24, 2025, at Quality Life Services in New Castle.
Born January 20, 1939, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Eino and Winifred (Crofoot) Koski.
Jean was preceded in death on April 22, 2001, by her husband of 38 years, Robert D. Anderson, whom she married August 11, 1962.
Jean was a graduate of Shenango High School. She gained employment with Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. as a cashier for over sixteen years and later was employed with Massaro & Massaro as a secretary for five years. She was part of the ministry team at Cedar Manor as well as a caregiver. She continued to stay in contact with both her Shenango classmates and friends from her Liberty Mutal years by enjoying their many luncheons together.
She was a member of the ABWA, American Businesswoman's Association, and a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was active with the bus ministry. Her love of the Lord, her family, and her extended church family was evident to all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, David Anderson of New Castle; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Nate Orrico of Hoschton, Georgia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and John Koski; two stepsons, Robert D. Anderson, Jr. and William L. Anderson; one stepdaughter, Bonnie Honsa; and one step daughter-in-law, Joyce Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, from 12:00-2:00 at R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary DeWitt officiating.
Memorial contributions may be offered to New Hope Wesleyan Church.
