Jeanne H. Dixon, 94, passed away on the morning of Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Emeritus at Chestnut Hill in Columbus, OH.She was born March 10, 1918, in New Castle, a daughter of John and Madge Hoose.She worked as an executive secretary at Pennsylvania Power Co. for 41 years.She was a member of Wimodausis, the Women's Club of New Castle, AARP and Prime Timers, and she volunteered at Jameson Memorial Hosptial.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William, Robert and Jack Hoose; and nephews, Joseph and Peter Mineo.Jeanne is survived by her sister-in-law, Jeannette Hoose; a niece, Susanne Lenihan and her husband, Tim; a nephew, Scott Mineo and his wife, Karen, and their children, Joseph and Angelina Mineo.A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shenango Presbyterian Church.
