Jeffrey P. Cartwright, Sr., age 67 of Union Township, passed away the afternoon of September 3, 2020. Born January 24, 1953, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Henry Cartwright and Violet (Clark) Cartwright Daytner. Jeffrey served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He worked as a packaging engineer for Tri-Medical Corporation. Jeffrey enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. What gave Jeffrey the most joy in life was spending time with his family. Jeffrey is survived by one daughter, Valerie (Ryan S.) Navolio of Ellwood City; one son Jeffrey P. (Christina) Cartwright, Jr. of New Castle; one sister, Marilyn Kerns of Linesville; six grandchildren and his former spouse, Gayle Stillwagon. In addition to his parents, Jeffrey is preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Cartwright and three brothers, David Cartwright, Wes Cartwright, and Butch Cartwright. Visitation will be held on Tues. Sept. 8th, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC guidelines regarding wearing face masks and practicing social distancing. A private service will be held on Wed. Sept. 9th at the funeral home.
