Jeffrey R. Schooley, 66, of Hickory Township, went to be with his Lord and Savior the night of October 27, 2020 at his residence.
Born June 29, 1954 in New Castle, he was the son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Hutchison) Schooley.
He married the love of his life, Toni Ann (Orelli) Schooley, on May 1, 1982. She survives at home.
Jeffrey was employed at Xaloy as a machinist.
A lifetime member of the NRA, member of the Mahoning Sportsman Club and past president of IAM Local 1671, Jeffrey enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was an avid Steeler's fan and greatly loved spending time with his family and grandson, Danny.
He was a charter member of Independent Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Patrick E. (Bridget) Schooley of Ohio and Shane M. (Amanda) Schooley of New Castle and his grandson, Danny Schooley, also a special brother-in-law, Anthony Orelli, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, from 4:00-6:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A private service will be held for the family on Saturday with the Rev. Frederick H. Gilbert officiating.
Visitors are asked to adhere to Covid 19 precautions regarding wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
Burial will be in Castle View Cemetery.
