Jennifer Ann Boak-Owens, age 55, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Sept. 23, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Born March 2, 1969, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Carol A. (Ridgley) Boak.

On Aug. 24, 2004, she married her husband of 20 years, John W. Owens. He survives at home.

Jennifer earned her master's degree in Early Childhood Development from Slippery Rock University. She was a homemaker and loved the deaf community. Her passion was teaching children and reading them stories. What gave Jennifer the most joy in life was spending time with her family and her grandkids. She was a faithful member of New Life Baptist Church.

Along with her husband, Jennifer is survived by her son, Taylor R. (Autumn) Boak-Burgess of New Castle, PA; one brother, Jay Boak of Pulaski, PA; one sister, Jodi Boak of New Castle, PA; and three grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Jeannie M. Stockdill.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
