Jerry W. Steele, age 63, of New Castle, passed away the night of July 8, 2016 at UPMC Jameson. Born July 10, 1952 in New Castle, he was the son of Audra and Eileen Bishop Steele. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Becky Walters Steele, whom he married on August 25, 1990. After receiving his GED from New Castle High School, Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army. Among his many interests, Jerry enjoyed playing cards and dice. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his seven children; Brian Steele of Pittsburgh, Missy Steele (Kenny Bates) of New Castle, Shawn Steele of Albany, NY, Robert Richardson (Jamie Phillips) of New Castle, Steven Steele of New Castle, Ashley (Charles) Hause of New Castle, and Casey Steele of New Castle; 22 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Martinez of New Castle; and one brother, Danny Steele of New York. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dawn Steele, in 2016; and one sister, Shirley Baker. In keeping with Jerry's request, there will be no calling hours or service.
