Jessie Mae (Brown) McFarland passed away on January 17, 2015 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was 92.
Jessie Mae was born on November 21, 1922 in Slippery Rock Township to the late Ira and Gladys Kennedy Brown, and lived in New Castle for most of her adult life. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1940.
Jessie Mae is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Ray Stoner; and by her three children and their spouses: Keith and Brenda McFarland of Apex, NC; Dennis and Nancy McFarland of Reedsburg, WI; and Jean and Ken Carson of Beaver Falls, PA. She is also survived by ten grandchildren - Cameron, Seth (Kelley), and Skye; Kendall (Kristen) and Bryce; and Nicholas, Peter (Emily), Molly (Zach), Beth, and Scott - and four great-grandchildren.
Jessie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. McFarland, her sisters Jean and Beryl, and her brother, Russell.
Jessie Mae was a member of the Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church in Rose Point, PA. She placed her faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of her sins and her family is confident that she in now in glory with her Savior.
Family and friends will be received at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Charles Brown will officiate.
Private interment will follow at the Castle View Cemetery, New Castle, PA.
