Jill Ann Strobel, age 54, of New Castle, passed away the morning of April 26, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born September 25, 1962 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Robert D. and Mary Ann Thompson Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Donald W. Strobel, whom she married on November 25, 1992. A 1980 graduate of Laurel High School, Jill worked as a clerk for Axes Meat Market for 4 years. She was a receptionist for Butler Refrigerated Meats for 18 years until her retirement in 2003. Among her many interests, Jill enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. In addition to her father who lives in New Castle, and her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Jeff R. (Sue) Taylor and Jay L. Taylor of New Castle; 4 nephews; 2 nieces; and 1 great niece. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2004. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Yergan officiating. Burial will be in Rich Hill Cemetery.
