Jo Ann White, age 83 of New Castle, passed away on April 9, 2020, at Quality Life Services – New Castle. Born June 26, 1936, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Otto Kumrow and Marie (Miller) Kumrow Swisher. On June 9, 1956, she married Lee White, Sr. who preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 2016. Jo Ann was a graduate of Mahoningtown High School. She was a manager at Sears. Jo Ann was a member of Card Club and Sparklers. She was a member of Savannah Methodist church where she taught Sunday School. Jo Ann is survived by one son, Lee White, Jr. of New Castle, PA; one daughter, Joyce Bongivengo of Sharpsville, PA; two sisters, Dorothy McKlveen of Raleigh, North Carolina, Mary Park of New Castle, PA; five grandchildren, Erich, Katie, Joshua, Cory and Brandon, and two great-grandchildren, JoLee and Isaac. In addition to her parents and husband, Jo Ann was preceded in death by a son, Tim White. There will be no visitation or services, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
