Joan Velma Miller, age 91, of Slippery Rock, PA, passed away the evening of Oct. 15, 2026, at her residence, peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Born Dec. 25, 1934, in Venango County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Grace (Runinger) Rogers.

On June 21, 1957, she married her beloved husband, Robert J. Miller, Sr. He preceded her in death.

Joan was an LPN, working at Silver Oaks for several years, until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and gardening. Joan had a green thumb and was successful in growing an elaborate garden over the years. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of Faith Country Chapel where she was a Sunday school teacher and helped with the VBS programs for several years.

Survivors include two sons, Robert J. Miller of New Castle, PA, and Michael W. Miller of Slippery Rock, PA; one daughter, Stephanie J. Miller of Utica, PA; one brother, Arthur W. Rogers of Franklin, PA; two sisters, Helene Rumberger of Altoona, PA, and Evelyn Glosser of Shippenville, PA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or services.

Burial will be at Mt. Hermon Cemetery, alongside her husband.
