Joan Louise Warren, age 94, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Aug. 2, 2025, at her residence.
Born Sept. 14, 1930, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Myrtle (Moody) Stuart.
On Dec. 1, 1951, she married her husband of 65 years, Alexander B. Warren. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2017.
Joan was a graduate of Brentwood High School. She was a homemaker who loved painting and sewing. Joan was an amazing artist and seamstress. She created a vast collection of paintings and made many of her own clothes. She also performed alterations for many families' clothing over the years.
Joan was a member of the Eastern Star and an active member Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church, where she held several duties, including organizing countless funeral luncheons. She will always be remembered as being an outstanding mother, aunt, grandmother and friend to all.
Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey (Betsy Fey) Warren of Franklin Park, PA, James (Lauren) Warren of Palm Harbor, FL and John Warren of New Castle, PA,; five grandchildren, Jessica, Emily, Alexander IV, Kelsey Warren and William Warren; two great grandchildren, Jack Richter, Bentley Warren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on August 23rd at 11:00 AM at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church, 220 E. Clen-Moore Blvd, New Castle, PA, with Pastors Michael Spicuzza and Aaron Christy, officiating. Friends and family will be received from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. A luncheon will be held afterward in the downstairs of the church.
