Joan Lee Warsing, age 92, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Aug. 29, 2025, at Shenango on the Green.
Born May 16, 1933, in Huntington, PA, she was the daughter of the late George E. & Lois (Gerber) Abbott.
In 1952 she married her first husband the late Richard Koski. Subsequently she married Donald P. Warsing, Sr., on June 14, 2008. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2023.
Joan graduated high school in 1951. She worked for a period at Bell Telephone Company and in later years, the Country House Christmas Shop. Joan enjoyed oil & water color painting, along with spending time with her family. She was a member of Challenges Options in Aging & The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts and volunteered at Lark Enterprises. Joan was a lifetime member of Trinity Episcopal Church. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and always had a kind word and a smile for everyone she met. She loved the Lord and her church as well as her church family.
Joan is survived by two daughters Pamela (Robert) Chill of New Castle, PA, Laurie Kasprzyk of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, one grandson Steven (Stephane' Elisco) Chill, one great-granddaughter Brooklynn (Jon) Organ, and four great-great grandchildren Jack Organ, Evalynn Organ, Giavanni Mastropietro and Joseph Mastropietro.
Along with her parents and first and second husbands she is preceded in death by one brother, William J. Abbott; one son, Eric Koski; one son-in-law, George Kasprzyk; and one grandson, Ryan Chill.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd from 4pm to 7pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A service will take place on Thursday, September 4th, at 11:00am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 214 N. Mill Street, New Castle.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
