Joann E. Minner, age 85, of New Castle, passed away the evening of Aug. 14, 2021, at her residence. Born Dec. 31, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Girty A. Adamson and Pearl B. (Stiver) Adamson Trulock. On Sept. 28, 1957, she married Robert E. Minner. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2002. Subsequently she married Dale Siar on Aug. 5, 2006. He survives at home. Joann was a 1955 graduate of New Castle High School. For 17 years, she was employed at St. Francis Hospital in the kitchen, as a dietary aide. Joann was a member of Wimodausis, Eastern Star #333, Ladies Auxilary VFW #267 – Bessemer, and the Primetimers at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. She was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Ministry – Croton Ave., where she served as the Treasurer of the Trustees and was a choir member. What gave Joann the most joy in life, was spending time with her family. Along with her husband, Dale, Joann is survived by two nieces Judy Wellman of New Castle, PA, and Barbara Goss of Summerfield, FL. In addition to her parents and first husband Robert, Joann was preceded in death by her stepfather, Clyde Trulock, two sisters, Doris Jean Adamson, and Emogene Massey and one brother Wayne A. Adamson. Visitation will be held on Wed. Aug. 18th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will be held immediately after visitation at noon, with Rev. Darryl Lockie officiating. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery.
