John D. Cox, 65, of Neshannock Township, passed away the afternoon of June 25, 2015 at Jameson Hospital. Born November 2, 1949 in New Castle, he was a son of Gilbert A. and June A. Warnock Cox. A graduate of Neshannock High School, he attended Edinboro University. John was a retiree of the United States Postal Service in Downers Grove, Ill. Among his many interests, John enjoyed golfing, reading the newspaper, walking his dog, and was an avid sports enthusiast. He was affiliated with Northminster Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Turngren and her husband Erik of Crystal Lake, Ill; his mother June Cox of New Castle; two granddaughters, Emily and Madeline Turngren. He was preceded in death on June 7, 2010 by his father; and by a sister, Julie A. Cowmeadow, on January 11, 2010. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev.
