John J. Donofrio, age 67, of New Castle, passed away the early morning of Feb. 7, 2025, at his residence.

Born July 23, 1957, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Patsy and Josephine 'Tina' (Lupo) Donofrio.

On April 19, 1980, he married his beloved wife of 44 years, Norma (Sankey) Donofrio. She survives at home.

John was a graduate of Mohawk High School. He worked as a roller operator, employed by various companies throughout the area, until his retirement. Football, watching his grandchildren play sports, and going to Mr. Pizza every day, were some of his most cherished moments in life. What gave him the most joy, were the times he was able to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren and his beloved dog, Roxy. He attended Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Along with his wife, John is survived by two daughters, Jonalynn (Sean) Duffee and Jordyn (Jeff) Merritt, both of New Castle, PA; two sons, Joe (Renee) Donofrio of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Justin (Barbara) Donofrio of Camp Hill, PA; one brother, Patrick Donofrio of TN; and five grandchildren, Skylar Duffee, Noah Donofrio, Connor Donofrio, Luciana Donofrio and Dominick Donofrio.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 10th at 11:00 AM at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2434 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105, with Pastor Jordan Rimmer, officiating.
