John A. Garczynski, 65, of New Castle, passed away the evening of November 3, 2013 at his residence. Born July 9, 1948 in New Castle, he was a son of Joseph and Jane Klik Garczynski. John is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marilyn Misco Garczynski, whom he married on June 20, 1987. He was a graduate of New Castle High School. He received his degree in accounting from Youngstown State University, followed by a lifetime career in accounting from which he retired. Among his many interests were watching horse racing, watching Pittsburgh sports and playing golf and bowling. He enjoyed watching the stock market, and valued the time spent with his family the most. He was a member of St. Camillus Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Justin Lamberto of New Castle. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glen Garczynski. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, from 9:00-9:30 a.m at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, for St. Camillus Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Father Thomas Lewandowski will be officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Polish National Cemetery.
