John F. Martin, 77, of Princeton, passed away the morning of July 9, 2014 at Jameson Hospital.Born July 18, 1936 in Warren, Ohio, he was a son of William R. and Martha J. Hazlett Martin.He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Stephanne Dudash Martin, whom he married December 22, 1955.John served his country in the Army, serving in Fort Bliss, Texas.He was an independent truck owner/operator, loved country music, and was an antique auto enthusiast.John was a member of Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church.In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Deanna (Aaron) Martin Rensel of Portersville, PA; four sons, Stephen Martin, Doug (Janice) Martin and Harry Martin, all of New Castle, and Bryan (Jenny) Martin of Fayetteville, NC; four sisters, Mary Harlan of South Carolina, Martha Sontag and Sue Bales of New Castle, and Sylvia Krepton of Illinois; six grandchildren, Rachael (Aaron) Hinkle, Ethan Rensel, Christopher Wisniewski, Jennifer Hendley, Brian Mulligan and Phillip Martin; and six great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Martin; one sister, Ruth McGee; and a grandson, Aaron (AJ) Rensel.Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Charles Brown.Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a favorite charity.
