John E. Morrison, 73, formerly of New Castle, passed away December 10, 2015 at Rae-Ann Geneva in Geneva, Ohio. Born September 6, 1942 in New Castle, he was a son of Joseph D. and Ruth Evelyn McCracken Morrison. John was previously employed as a mechanic with Book's Service Station. He enjoyed woodworking and often helped neighbors with mechanical projects. He is survived by one sister, Betty Joanne Brown of Fort Myers, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William H. Morrison. In keeping with John's request, visitation and service will be kept private. Rev. John Yergan will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to the Rae-Ann Geneva Nursing Home, 839 West Main Street, Geneva, OH 44041. Arrangements are by the R.
