John Patrick Wagner, age 47, of New Castle, PA, passed away the late afternoon of Aug. 3rd, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

He was born July 20, 1979, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late John Paul Wagner and Susan Sarah (Somerville) Stewart.

On June 9, 2001, he married his beloved wife and best friend, of 25 years, Heather Bartholomew. Mrs. Wagner survives at home.

John was a graduate of Riverside High School. For several years, he worked as a groundskeeper, employed by the Catholic Parish Cemeteries Association. John enjoyed reading fantasy novels by his favorite author, Robert Jordan, traveling, bonfires, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his children. He was a member of Washington Union Alliance Church.

In addition to his wife and mother, John is survived by his children, Michael Wagner, and Harley Wagner, both of New Castle, PA; his stepfather, Kurt Stewart of Pittsburgh, PA; and two sisters, Samantha Wagner of Crafton, PA, and Zoe Stewart, of NY, NY.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Norma Bartholomew.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sat. Aug. 8th from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Washington Union Alliance Church, 2119 W. Washington St., New Castle, PA, 16101.
