Born Sept. 26, 1940, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Paul S. and Virginia G. (Garner) Wasserman.
On Oct. 30, 1964, he married his beloved wife of 61 years, Donna L. (Roginski) Wasserman. Mrs. Wasserman survives at home.

During the summer months, he could often be found tending his vegetable garden, taking great pride in his harvest. Above all else, John cherished his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than attending and supporting his daughters' and grandchildren's sporting events.
