John A. Williams, 66, of Shenango Township, passed away due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident the evening of August 21, 2017 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Born August 3, 1951 in New Castle, he was the son of Harry E. Williams and Helen Kay Katherine Byler Williams.
Surviving at home is his wife of 41 years, Eugenia Gina Dengler Williams, whom he married September 20, 1975.
A Laurel High School graduate, he attended Youngstown State University where he received his Associates Degree.
John was employed as a Groundskeeper with the City of Kissimmee, FL Parks and Recreation Department.
An avid NASCAR fan, John also loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins. He loved woodworking, especially making puzzles from family photos and making toys for his grandchildren and for family outside games. He frequently rode his motorcycle accompanied by his best friend, Joe Klingensmith. Most important to John was spending time with his family and grandchildren. John was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother Kay Williams of New Castle; two daughters, Kalin Williams (Yassen Rodriguez) of Elk Grove, CA and Lisa (Brandon) Jurekovic of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two brothers, Harry E. (Lorraine) Williams, Jr. of Weatherford, TX and David C. Williams of New Castle; one sister, Susan E. (Doug) Spiker of New Castle; two grandchildren, Ty and Theo and several nieces and nephews that were so special to him.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Kay Marie Hunt.
There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, September 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Presbyterian Church, 708 Highland Avenue, New Castle, PA 16101, with the Rev. Richard Kinney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
