John P. Wilson, 89, of 1248 Young Road, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. Born November 22, 1923 in Princeton, he was the son of the late Merle and Gertrude Wilson.He married Carolyn M. Wilson on July 30, 1948, who preceded him in death. Mr. Wilson owned and operated Wilson Dairy Farm in Rose Point. He had previously served on the Board of Corporators of Geneva College. He was a 1940 graduate of Princeton High School and of Penn State University in 1948. He was a member of Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church. Mr. Wilson is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol (John) Fleeger of Shawnee, Kansas, and Judith (Philip) Pockras of Belle Center, Ohio; four sons and daughters-in-law, John K. (Sandy) Wilson, Robert W. (Patricia) Wilson of New Castle, James L. (Mary) Wilson of Volant, and Thomas D. (Linda) Wilson of New Castle; 15 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Shawn) Mulkey, Rebecca (Lee) Cummins, John K. Wilson Jr., Jared (Rebecca) Wilson, Concetta Sapienza (Jeremy Acker), Angela Sapienza, Michael Sapienza, Meghan (Joseph) Cowart, Brittany (Scott) Taylor, Evan (Rachel) Wilson, Bradley (Katie) Wilson, Allyson (Luke) Garrett, Shane Wilson, Nathaniel Pockras, Isaac (Danielle) Pockras; and nine great-grandchildren, Zoe Mulkey, Ian Mulkey, Lynnden Cummins, Isabella Sapienza, Camrynn Sapienza, Gianna Acker, Colt Cowart, Chase Garrett, and Mason Garrett. He is also survived by his brother, Harold Wilson. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sherrie Wilson, and a grandchild, Caleb Wilson. Calling hours are Friday, August 2, 2013, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will be conducted Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Charles Brown will officiate.
