Joseph R. Kobialka, Sr., 65, of New Castle passed away the evening of June 9, 2025, at his residence.

Born on July 30, 1959, in New Castle, he was the son of Joseph and Donna Jean (Reagan) Kobialka. He married Phyllis (Pratt) Kobialka on August 26, 1978, whom survives at home.

He was a member of Calvary Independent Church where he served as an Elder and was a Worship Leader.

Joseph was co-founder of Custom Valve where he developed his passion of valve work. Then he was the owner of Louis Welding & Fabricating. Joseph retired with Cheswick Power Plant where he worked operations. Joseph loved singing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by one daughter, Jaime (Matt) Lockwood of New Castle; three sons, Joey (Jackie) Kobialka Jr., Jeremy (Stephanie) Kobialka, and Jason (Lisa) Kobialka all of New Castle; two sisters, LuEllen Kobialka and her significant other Alan Hoffman and Susan (Jeff) Krueger both of New Castle; fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents.

No services will be held.

Burial will be at Unity Baptist Cemetery.
