Joseph H. Neely, Sr., 78, of Eastbrook passed away the afternoon of October 9, 2017 at his residence.
Born on September 3, 1939 in Mars, PA, he was the son of Joseph and Grace Cappla. He married Hollie Thomas Neely on December 31, 1971 whom survives at home.
Mr. Neely was a graduate of Evans City High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic. Joseph was a self employed blacksmith, a truck driver, farmer, and worked in various lumber yards until his retirement in 2005.
Among his favorite activities were spending time with his family and enjoying outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and horses. Joseph was also an Eagle Scout.
He was a member of Eastbrook Presbyterian Church.
Along with his wife he is survived by one son, Joseph Hank (Michelle) Neely, Jr of New Castle; one grandson, Joseph Henry Neely, III; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vern Neely.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
Burial will be in Eastbrook Presbyterian Cemetery.
