Joseph C. Sanfilippo, 76, of Meadowview Blvd, New Castle, passed away the morning of September 25, 2013. Born November 7, 1936 in New Castle, he was a son of Joseph and Nellie Zazzarino Sanfilippo. Joseph was preceded in death on September 26, 2009 by his loving wife, Patricia J. Treccase Sanfilippo, whom he married August 16, 1958. Following his graduation from New Castle High School, Joseph was employed with Pascoe Engineering as a draftsman. He later became a project manager both with A & B Heating and Plumbing, followed by Roth Brothers in Youngstown, Ohio. Joe enjoyed attending all his grandchildren's sporting events, making him both a Neshannock Lancer and Sharpsville Blue Devil fan. He attended St. Camillus Church. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Vincent and Lisa Sanfilippo of Ashburn, Va, and James and Valerie Sanfilippo of New Castle; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Richard Dombrosky of New Castle, and Kimberly and Randy Chamberlain of Sharpsville; and ten grandchildren. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Rosetta Roman. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 12:00-1:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A Blessing Service will be conducted Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 1:00 at the funeral home and will be officiated by Father Thomas Lewandowski. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3208B Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105, or to the charity of choice.
