At the age of 90, Josephine A. White, has left this world. Born on Christmas Day, she was the fourth child of Thomas and Esther Litwinovich. Her brothers, Louis, Stanley, and Victor predeceased her. Raised on a farm and having a strong work ethic, she finally retired at the age of 79. She gardened, took care of her lawn, and kept all of her own appointments right up until the end. She was an excellent cook; no one ever left her table hungry. Josephine had an extremely winsome personality; few met her that did not like her. She raised two sons, Gary L. and Charles E. who survive. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Julie (Justin) Beal, Luke (Casey) White, Laura White, and two great grandchildren, Lydia and Hannah, who brought her much joy. We will always remember our mother for her love and generosity. With her passing the world is truly a little poorer. Visitation will be held on Thursday Jan. 20th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105. A service will take place at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
