Joyce Carolyn Mackerley of Renfrew, PA died at the home of her daughter, Sandra McGuirk, of Neshannock, PA, the afternoon of January 9, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John Martin Bonk, originally from Jersey City, NJ, and Marybelle Dykes Bonk, originally from Laurel, DE. Her only sibling, Lois Poitinger, of Whitehouse, OH, passed away in December 2020.

Joyce was the widowed wife of Horace A. Baylor, Jr. of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Asa Mackerley, III of Newton, NJ.

Joyce is survived by five children: Debra Stettler and her husband Phil of E. Stroudsburg, PA, Sandra McGuirk and her husband Joseph of Neshannock, PA, Scott Baylor and his wife Amy of Sherman, TX, Robin Daller and her husband John of Mars, PA, and Jamie Manser and her husband Todd of Mount Pocono, PA. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce was employed by RCA Records, Rockaway, NJ and Hercules Gun Powder Plant in Kenville, NJ. She especially enjoyed her time after retirement at McDonald's but for most of her life was a homemaker.

Joyce was a member of the New Covenant World Outreach Church in Sciota, PA for many years. She loved reading her bible, praying, and teaching the bible to the younger generation.

She is finally home in the arms of her Savior and once again surrounded by loved ones.
