Joyce D. Martin, 45, of 4 1/2 Lakeside Drive, Bessemer, PA, passed away the afternoon of September 27, 2013 at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman, Ohio. Born July 11, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was a daughter of Ronald Jelinek and Thelma Dennis Jelinek. Surviving at home is her husband, Jon C. Martin, whom she married May 31, 2003. Joyce was a 1987 graduate of Mohawk High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking and baking. Joyce was a member of Washington Union Alliance Church where she sang in the choir. In addition to her husband and her mother who reside in Bessemer, she is survived by one son, Brennan DeVite of Bessemer; one brother, James Foster of Youngstown; and one sister, Jessie Foster of New Castle. She was preceded in death by her father. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Richard Noble. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
