Joyce H. Pontzloff, age 85, formerly of the North Hills of Pittsburgh, passed away the afternoon of March 4, 2026, at Clen-Moore Place.

Born Aug. 1, 1940, in Milwaukee, WI, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Marsh) Cleminshaw.

Joyce was a graduate of Wauwatosa High School. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree, from Penn State University, in early childhood education. For many years, Joyce was a beloved teacher in the North Hills School District, until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, and her Dachshund dogs. Joyce was fascinated with aviation and loved to watch airplanes. In addition to her hobbies, Joyce volunteered at the Northland Public Library for many years. She was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include one son, Tom (Patrice) Pontzloff of New Castle, PA; five grandchildren, Michael T. Pontzloff (Corrin) of Hampton Twp., PA, Matthew A. Pontzloff (Andrew) of Irwin, PA, Ryan C. Pontzloff (Collin) of Shaler Twp., PA, Madison J. Pontzloff (Aidan) of New Castle, PA, and Connor T. Pontzloff of New Castle, PA; and three great-grandchildren, Jovie, Jack and Ava.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28th from 11:00-12:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A Memorial Service immediately following at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Anthony Kladitis, officiating.
