Judith Gail Stodolak, age 80, of New Castle, passed away the evening of June 5, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Sept. 03, 1942, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln R. and Eulene J. (Wheeler) Shope.

On Aug. 30, 1977, she married her husband of 45 years, Paul Stodolak. He survives at home.

Judith was a 1960 graduate of New Castle High School. For 35 years, she worked as a teacher's Aide at Mid-Western Unit, IU4, until her retirement. Judith loved sewing and riding her horse "Frank". She loved spending time with her dogs, cats, and her family. Judith was a member of First United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Judith is survived by one daughter, Kimberly (Tony Davis) Evans of New Castle, PA; one son, Jack M. (Gina) French III, of Williamsburg, VA; one brother, William Shope of Dearborn, MI; two grandchildren, Samantha (Jason) Wess and Anthony Davis; two great-grandchildren, Shailah Hilton and Sophia Wess; and one great-great-grandson, Davonte Brown.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stodolak residence.

Burial will be at Castleview cemetery.
