Judy L. Casalandra, 75, of New Castle, passed away the evening of October 22, 2015, at Jameson Care Center. Born May 24, 1940, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond D. and Claribel Sankey Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Casalandra, whom she married June 15, 1962. Judy graduated from New Castle High School in 1958. Following, she attended the Sharon General Nursing School and graduated in 1961. She was employed at Jameson Hospital where she worked as an R.N. in the operating room for 33 years, until her retirement in 1995. Judy enjoyed travel and going to the casino. However, her greatest enjoyment was truly spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Shenango Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Kay Lynn (Bill) Brown, and Leanne (Ted) Memo, both of New Castle; one son, R. Todd (Tammy) Casalandra of New Castle; two brothers, Richard (Lonnie) Cunningham , and R. David (Linda) Cunningham, both of New Castle; 6 grandchildren, Josh Brown, Cassandra Davies (Asa), Gianna and Danielle Memo, Nina and Ella Casalandra. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Road. Visitation will also be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., on Monday, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Amy Na officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
