Jules V. Romestan, 79, of New Castle and formerly of Bluger, passed away the afternoon of February 17, 2012 at the Overlook Medical Clinic.Jules was born on December 18, 1932 to the late Louis and Germaine Lefebvre Romestan in McDonald, PA. He was married the former Georgetta Culley, she precedes him in passing. Mr. Romestan was a supervisor assistant with Ryan Homes. Jules was a very patriotic man and took great pride in his country. His other passions included walking, traveling and vacationing, crossword puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren.Mr. Romestan is survived by his daughter, Candace Anterock of New Castle; four grandchildren, Michael and Robin Hlavay and Jeffrey and Joshua Anterock; four great grandchildren; Delaney Hlavay, Saellyah Paolino and Christian and Holden Anterock; and three sisters, Delores Poznak of Midway, PA, Lois Snatchko and Donna Brookshire both of Illinois.Jules was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one daughter, Tami Hlavay and 12 brothers and sisters.Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 4-6 p.m. at the R.Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle, PA.Memorial services will be held on Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Mike Wells will be officiating the service. Burial will take place in Center Cemetery in Midway, PA at a later date.
