It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julie Kay Burrelli, age 61, of New Castle, Pennsylvania, in her home on October 30, 2024.

Julie was born in Westfield, New York on October 27th, 1963, to the late Catherine and William Deuink. She grew up with a deep love for animals, the outdoors, and a passion for sports. After Julie graduated from Clymer Central High School in 1981, she went on to study at Ithaca College, graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1985.

Julie started her career as a physical therapist in New York and then North Carolina before moving to Sharon, Pennsylvania to both grow further in her profession and move closer to home. She was a hardworking and compassionate healthcare worker, touching the lives of many, working hard to improve each of her patients' quality of life.

In 1993, Julie married her husband, Mark Burrelli of New Castle, Pennsylvania. They went on to have 3 beloved daughters, Katelyn, Cassidy, and Isabella. With her husband, Julie went on to raise their daughters, passing on her strong will and unwavering determination. She loved coaching their sports teams as well as cheering them on from the sidelines. She herself was an avid runner in her spare time. Julie and her family spent many days together at various sporting events, enjoying time by the pool, playing with their dogs, and simply being active outdoors, and she would not have had it any other way!

After retirement, Julie found joy in her dogs "Ruby" and "Rocco", boating on the lake, gardening, attending Bella's collegiate sporting events, supporting her daughters in their graduate studies, and cherishing moments with her grandchildren.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Cathy Deuink. She is survived by her husband Mark Burrelli, their daughters Katelyn Martini (son-in-law Dimitri), Cassidy and Isabella Burrelli, grandchildren Mara and Joey, sister Jill Pace, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tues. Nov. 5th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation, at 7:00 PM at the funeral home, with Rev. Anthony Kladitis, of Faith Presbyterian Church, in Hermitage, PA, officiating.
