June Ruth Malaniak, 89, of Neshannock Township passed away the evening of Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Edison Manor. Born in New Castle on August 17, 1927, she was a daughter of Albert and Gladys Collins Gettings. On August 26, 1950 she married her husband of 66 years, Paul Malaniak. Mrs. Malaniak was a member of The Baker's Dozen Ladies Group for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed fishing with her husband and working crossword puzzles. Besides her husband, survivors include two sons, Robert P. Malaniak and his wife Katy of Sharpsville and Jeffery R. Malaniak and his wife Cathy of Poland, OH; one step brother, David Gettings of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Dain and Taylor Malaniak. Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Mary Ellen Phillips. Visitation will be 11:00 am 1:00 pm on Monday at R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place on Monday immediately following visitation at the funeral home with Rev. John Yergan officiating. Burial will be in Fair Oaks Cemetery, Wilmington Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Malaniak's name to American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad Street, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
