Obituary

June C. Radish, 90, of Rose Avenue, passed away the morning of April 7, 2016 at her residence. Born January 5, 1926 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Arnold and Nelle Pettibone Fraser. She was preceded in death on May 20, 2009 by her loving husband of 62 years, Thomas A. Radish, whom she married June 29, 1946. After graduating from New Castle High School, June was employed briefly for Shenango China. She was a dietary technician for 22 years at St. Francis Hospital, and was an Avon representative for over 35 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved playing cards and was an avid reader. June loved being active in the lives of her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed babysitting her great grandchildren. A member of New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church, she served as a deacon, member of the Fellowship Committee, and of the Covenant Seekers Sunday school class. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Priscilla DeFelice of New Castle, and Marjorie and Larry Genareo of Lakewood, NY, with whom she resided for the past nine months; five grandchildren, Carolyn and Brian Searfoss, Marc and Jami Genareo, Brandi and Nick Lutes, Thomas and Leslie Genareo, and Elizabeth and Matthew Rogan; and nine great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Grant Searfoss, Sofia, Juliet and Lucas Genareo, Olivia and Antonio Faraone, Nicholas Lutes, and Wilson Genareo; and several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Arnold "Bud", John, Bobby and Donald "Lefty" Fraser; and five sisters, Bette Coulter, Marilou Noble, Lois Beals, Ruth Landis and Katherine "Cookie" Christine. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place on Monday at 11:00 at the funeral home with the Pastor John Fraser of Maitland Lane Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
