Karen May Bohizic, age 62 of New Castle, passed away on Aug. 15, 2021, at her residence. Born May 2, 1959, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Flick) Bohizic, Sr. Karen attended New Castle High School and was a homemaker. She loved to shop, play cards, care for her pets, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and friends. She is survived by her two daughters, Michele (Gene) Weiser of West Middlesex, PA, and Monica (Cameron) Young of Newalla, OK; one sister, Sharon McLaren of New Castle; two brothers, George and Joe Bohizic, both of New Castle; five grandchildren, Damon, Ashlynn and Colton Young all of Newalla, OK, and Noah and Madalyn Weiser of West Middlesex, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her siblings, Arlene Dawson, Bernice Gramsky, Velma Crowl, Georgina Robertson, Charlotte Bohizic and Barbie Shell. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. The Rev. Jordan Rimmer will officiate.
