Karen A. Douglas, age 76 of New Castle, passed away the evening of June 21, 2020, at Quality Life Services, New Castle. Born Nov. 8, 1943, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Edward George and Carrie Marie (Hilton) Elmore. Karen was a graduate of Shenango High School. She was a nurse's aide at St. Francis and Jameson Hospitals. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs, and spending time with her family and friends. Karen is survived by two sons, Scott Douglas of New Castle, PA, David "Rick" (Sandy) Douglas of Beaver Falls, PA; one daughter Kylie Parks of New Castle, PA; one brother, Edward Elmore, Jr., of Princeton, PA; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and a multitude of great-grandchildren. Karen is preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at a later date, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
