Karen L. Wellhausen passed away at her residence, shortly after her 75th birthday, with family by her side.

Born on Jan. 10, 1948, in Mercer to Estella Root Wise. Karen held various jobs throughout her life.

She loved to spend time with her family, play puzzle games, watch game shows with her husband (she always won), the Pittsburgh Steelers, play slots at the casino, and spoil her beloved dog, "Ryah".

Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Bob Wellhausen; three sisters, Daisy Withers, Molly Wise, and Mary Patton; two brothers, Richard Root and Jim Wise; a son Bobby (Lisa) Wellhausen and his family, Timmy (Tammy) Wellhausen, Anthony (Ashley) Meneice, Tiah (Andy) Dungan and her great-granddaughter, Alena; a son Bryan (Sherrie) Wellhausen and his family, Nikki (Evan) Wellhausen, Amanda (John) Wellhausen and her great-grandson, Zane.

Proceeding her in death are her mother, Estella Root Wise; two sisters, Welwynn Sipe & Beverly Powell; four brothers Dan Root, Owen Root, Tom Root and Arnum Root and her beloved dog "Ryah".

In keeping with her wishes, a private service will be held for immediate family members at a later date.
