Katherine L. Wright, 95, of 3512 Meadowview Blvd, New Castle, passed away the afternoon of January 23, 2013, at Jameson Hospital. Born August 29, 1917, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Clarence J. and Mildred Kraynak Lang. Preceding her in death on July 2, 1997, was her loving husband, William A. Wright.Katherine was employed by Strouss Department Store as a buyer. She was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church and active in Prime Timers. She was also a member of Wimodausis and Eastern Star. Among her many interests, Katherine enjoyed reading and traveling and had a love for animals. She also was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and liked playing golf. Survivors include her daughter, Joan Ault, of Florida ; a sister, Rose Kotchish of York, PA; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Lutton and Grace Riley. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. The Rev. John Yergan will officiate. Burial will take place in Oak Park Cemetery.
