Kathryn Lois Dicks, 94, of 3539-4 Hunters Woods, died the evening of November 27, 2011 at Jameson Hospital.Born December 27, 1916 in New Castle, PA, she was a daughter of Edward L. and Lois R. Pettibon Davenport. She married Merle L. Dicks on March 22, 1938. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1999.Kay was a homemaker and a longtime member of Second Presbyterian Church.She is survived by one son; one sister, Frances Moser of Cranberry, PA; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Craig D. Dicks; three sisters, Patricia Brown, Edyce Olmstead and Helen Baatz; and a brother, Edward L. Davenport.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Rex Wasser will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
