Kay L. Lutz Sniezek, age 77, of New Castle, passed away the evening of Sept. 9, 2019 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born Nov. 18, 1941, in Warren Pa., she was the daughter to the late Oscar and Pauline (Vanderbilt) Holmburg. She married Ronald Sniezek. He survives at home.
Kay earned her BA in nursing and enjoyed her career as an RN. She was the director of nursing at Indian Creek and Jameson Rehab. She taught nursing at both Slippery Rock and Vo-Tech, in New Castle. Kay enjoyed many hobbies, such as crocheting, knitting, gardening, flowers, cooking, baking, crafts and decorating her home. Kay was an active member at Independent Methodist Church.
Along with her husband Ronald, Kay is survived by one daughter, Wendy Lutz of New Castle; one son Tim Lutz of Wampum, PA; one brother-in-law, Richard Zampona of Lakewood New York; two sisters, Joan (Charles) Dickinson of Falconer, New York; Linda Wood of Warren, Pa; three grandchildren, Wiley, Emma Kay and Elliot Lutz; several nieces and nephews; and her mother-in-law, Helen Fullerton.
Along with her parents, Kay is preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Zampona.
Visitation will be held on Sat. from 10:00-11:00 AM at Independent Methodist Church, 1921 New Butler Road New Castle, Pa., 16101. A service will follow immediately after visitation at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Frederick Gilbert , officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
