Kenneth R. Green, 83, a life long resident of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of December 9, 2011 in the Overlook Medical Clinic, New Wilmington, PA.Born April 3, 1928 in New Castle, he was a son of Fred McKenny Green and Alberta Yoho Green.He was married to Esther May Pence Green, who passed away in April, 1979. He subsequently married Norma J. Hull on September 8, 1979. She preceded him in death earlier this year on February 16, 2011.Ken was employed with International Mill Service in Sharon, PA and a 40 year member of the Operating Engineers Local 66.He enjoyed boating, water skiing and fishing. Ken enjoyed piloting and had built and flown his own ultra light aircraft. He also traveled throughout the United States in his motor home.Ken was a member of King's Chapel United Methodist Church.He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Frannie and Raymond Dell of New Castle; a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Kathy Green of New Castle; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Debra and David Persohn of Georgetown, OH; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents and both wives, he was preceded in death by one brother, George Green and one sister, Althea Burke.Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev.
