Kenneth Michael Harcar, Kenny, of Neshannock Township died unexpectedly on January 29, 2022 in his home at the age of 70. Kenny was son of Vera Eugenia and Andrew Ewing Harcar, who preceded him in death. He was born November 6, 1951 in New Castle, PA. He was a New Castle High School graduate in 1970. Kenny married the love of his life, Deborah Ann Jones, on February 1, 1975, she survives. Kenny will be remembered as a loyal brother and friend with a quick sense of humor, extreme patience, and unending kindness. His work ethic was unsurpassed. Most of his career was spent as a machinist for Rockwell International Axel Division, Advanced Feed and Screw, and Xaloy. Never missing an opportunity to learn something, he also worked in sales for Combined Insurance and Budget Discount Furniture when he needed to. In his retirement, he enjoyed working as a ranger and starter at Castle Hills Golf Course. He was an avid golfer and member of the Tuesday evening Edwards Golf League for over 30 years. Moreover, he enjoyed fishing locally and treasured his fishing trips to the Pennsylvania Club in the Georgian Bay, Canada. He was also a member of the Highland United Presbyterian Church. He loved taking trips and adventures with his family and friends. Kenny never missed an opportunity to tell someone how much he appreciated them. The hallmark of his life was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Kenny was a devoted husband, the epitome of a loving and nurturing father and a caring and fun grandfather. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jason Harcar (Crystle) of New Castle and daughter, Gwen Harcar (Katie Foust) of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by his siblings Dale Harcar of West Middlesex, Carol Chamberlain of Canfield, OH, Mary Jane Rutyna (Aldis) of New Castle, Kathleen Bishop of Scottsdale, AZ and his sister-in-law, Susan Harcar of New Castle. His passion for life will live on in his grandchildren, Lillian Harcar, Charlotte Harcar, and Bentley Harcar of Pittsburgh and Kenley Harcar and Liam Harcar of New Castle. He also has many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Harcar of New Castle. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 4-7 pm at The R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Highland Presbyterian Church. Rev. Richard Kinney will officiate.
