Kenneth R. Jones, 74
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenny Jones, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world unexpectedly on June 4, 2026, at the age of 74. Kenny was born on October 13, 1951, in New Castle, to Robert J. & Mary M. Jones.
Kenny's life was a testament to dedication and service. A Staff Seargent in the United States Marine Corps, Kenny served his country with honor.
Educated at Laurel High School and Vo-Tech, Kenny pursued his passion for mechanics, eventually establishing his own business, KJ Cycle Machine. Renowned as the best motorcycle mechanic on this side of the Mississippi, Kenny's unmatched talent and expertise brought joy to countless riders. His love for motorcycles was matched only by his love for his friends and family.
Kenny's kindness and generosity touched so many lives. His actions spoke volumes about the man he was. He didn't hesitate to lend a helping hand and expected nothing in return. His infectious laugh, his fun-loving and mischievous disposition made for good times and greater stories.
Kenny was preceded in death by his partner Brenda Plunkard; his parents, Bob & Peg Jones; his brothers, Dale Wayne & Dave Jones; & his son, Doug Jones. He is survived by his loving sister Sue Hogue; three cherished nieces, Aaryn Hogue, Lindsy Hogue, & Ashleigh Malinowski; two great-nieces, Madison & Elin; & two great-nephews, Ulrik & Ulf. Kenny's love and legacy live on in his family, who will forever hold his memory close.
In accordance with Kenny's wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite all who knew and loved Kenny to honor his memory by cherishing each moment, extending kindness, and living life with the same passion and generosity he so effortlessly embodied.
Though Kenny has left this world, his spirit will forever ride the open roads of our hearts. Kenny lived a remarkable life – his kindness, laughter, and generosity will be missed by all who knew him. God broke the mold when He made Kenny. May God's unfailing compassion, mercy, and grace welcome Kenny into Heaven. Forever in our hearts, you will be missed. Rest in Peace Kenny.
