Kenneth Duane 'Mac' McFarland, age 99, of New Castle, PA, passed away the late evening of June 30, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Duane was born on June 14, 1926, in Warren, OH, to the late John and Grace (McDonald) McFarland.

He was married on June 24, 1950, to his beloved wife of 67 years, Donna J. (Potter) McFarland. She preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 2018.

For 37 years, Duane worked as a supervisor at Penn Power. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Duane was a previous member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He attended Truth and Grace Church.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth R. (Alyce) McFarland of Brighton, MI; two daughters, Kathleen (Jack) Abranovich of New Castle, PA, and Kimberly Cyrus of Mt. Jackson, PA; one sister, Wilma Boyles of New Castle, PA; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy, Katie, Zachary, Casey, and Karlie; and 7 great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Olivia, Elliot, Carter, Caleb, Avery, and Charolotte.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law, Charlie Cyrus, two sisters, Shirley Stanley, and Louise McAnallen, and one brother, John McFarland.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
