Krista A. Esposito, 48, Carlisle Street, New Castle, passed away the morning of August 6, 2013 at her residence. Krista was born September 30, 1964 in Gary, Indiana. Her father, John VonHoffen, preceded her in death. Her mother, Connie Barker Gonzales, resides in Munster, Indiana. She married Louis V. Esposito on July 4, 1987 and loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Krista also enjoyed cooking and the outdoors. In addition to her husband and her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Margaret Esposito of New Castle and Elizabeth Esposito of Louisville, KY; two sons, Vincent Esposito of New Castle and Christopher Esposito of West Pittsburg; one sister, Corie Szesny of Dyer, Indiana; four grandchildren, Lola, Libby, FayLyn and Krista; and her grandfather, Robert Barker of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by her father and her maternal grandmother, Olive Barker.Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Joe Lahr of Cornerstone Community Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society, P.O. Box 62, New Castle, PA 16103.
