Kristy Sue Burns, age 63, of New Castle, passed away the evening of December 31, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born October 12, 1959, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Raymond Bruce McClure and Suzanne (Dunlap) Coates.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Burns.
Kristy was a 1977 graduate of Neshannock High School where she was active in track as well as performing with the Neshannock Drill Team.
She was a server at several area clubs including Charlie's, Joy Gardens and B-Bar. Kristy was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed writing poetry and was a member of First Alliance Church in New Castle.
She is survived by two daughters, Kasey McClure of New Castle and Kalley McClure of Cleveland, Ohio; a son, Christopher (Tricia) McClure of New Castle and Shawn Criscito whom she considered a son; four brothers, Raymond McClure of Texas, Daniel McClure of New Castle, Steven McClure of South Carolina and Leland Musguire of New Bedford, PA; five sisters, Terri Guerra of Hastings, FL, Tracie Galvin of Myrtle Beach, FL, Katie Watkins and Dora Jean Watts of South Carolina, and Missy Conner of Georgia; and eight grandchildren, Jewel Kneram, Isabella McClure, Gracie Seybert, Raymond Moore, Alexis Kneram, Isaiah Kneram, Osho Thomas and Willow McClure.
In addition to her parents and husband Patrick, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Ruffley.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 11:00 a.m. at First Alliance Church, 111 Mission Meade Drive, New Castle with Rev. John McCready officiating.
